What to put in a first message
- What the system has to do, in the plainest terms you can manage.
- What exists today — a running product, a prototype, a document, or nothing. Inheriting something fragile is a normal starting point.
- When it has to be live, and what happens if it is not.
You will get an answer that says what the work involves, what it does not, and where the risks are. Or a straight no with a reason, if this is not the right fit.
