About
About Maxmya
The studio, the standard, and the terms the work is published under.
01 — The studio
A software house built on demonstrable engineering.
Most studios sell capacity — engineers per month, tickets per sprint. Capacity says nothing about what arrives. Maxmya sells a standard, written down before the work starts and enforced by the pipeline rather than by memory. Work that does not meet it is not finished, whatever the calendar says.
Clients speak directly to the person building the system. One standard across the work, and codebases engineered to outlive the engagement.
The name
The mark
An open spiral drawn in one unbroken stroke from a single centre, generated from a formula rather than drawn by hand. Everything here compounds outward from one standard, and the line never closes.
02 — Licences
Licences and type
Set in Archivo, Source Serif 4 and ADLaM Display, under the SIL Open Font License 1.1. Colours, faces and contact details are read from the same file the printed stationery is set from.
Akaya Kanadaka sets the wordmark and badge lettering under the SIL Open Font License 1.1; Manrope sets the descriptor line. All typefaces ship with their full licence text in the repository.
The products built by Maxmya — Quiblo, GitLumiere, Documenta — are licensed under the GNU General Public License v3.0 or later.
